NATIONAL DENTIST DAY

PROGRAM MOTTO:  Good oral health

March 6 is National Dentist’s Day, a day to celebrate the ‘DENTISTS’ who keep our chompers chomping, our gnashers gnashing, and our whites pearly. Dentists are doctors who specialize in oral health. It’s our job to prevent, diagnose, and treat oral diseases, monitor the growth of their teeth and jaws, and perform surgical procedures on their teeth and mouths.

EVENTS CONDUCTED:

  1. No of patients: 64
  2. Topical fluoride was applied to create a caries free smile.
  3. The children were made to imitate the brushing techniques demonstrated and awarded a child who did the best.
  4. An animated video on brushing techniques and oral hygiene instruction was projected and explained to all the children in the camp.
  5. Oral screening for all the children who attended the program.
  6. Children were asked to remind their parents to schedule a dental check-up at least twice a year.
  7. All queries regarding the brushing techniques were explained individually to the children in detail.
