The Research Methodology workshop, at our institution, is being conducted since the last 10 years by the Institutional Review board and the Dept. of Oral Pathology.

This year, the Research Methodology Workshop -2023 conducted by Dept. of Oral Pathology, SRM Dental College,Ramapuram in conjunction with Institutional Review Board, SRM Dental College, Ramapuram, was inaugurated on 06/02/2023. It was a 6-Day program held from 06-02-2023 to 11-02-2023.

The inauguration program was graced by the Chief Guest- Dr. Mohammed Sagir, DCI Member from Kerala University of Health Sciences. The function was felicitated by the Dr. Subbiah Bharathi, Director, SRM group of Institutions, Ramapuram and Trichy campus. Dr. K. Ravi, Dean and Dr. K. Rajkumar, Dean-Academics, SRM Dental College, Ramapuram participated in the function and welcomed the guests.

In the past, this workshop was conducted for a day or two. But this is the first time, this program was conducted for 6-whole days with 8 eminent speakers involved, covering various aspects of methodology required to conduct a good original research study.

During this six-day abridged workshop, dental postgraduates were taught the principles of biomedical / clinical research methodology and biostatistics as needed for their post-graduate thesis and related research work.

This workshop helped stimulate an academic atmosphere amongst the students so that they would involve themselves into many research activities.
