  Poornima Jnaneshwar, Professors, Department of Orthodontics delivered guest lectures in the International
  Virtual Symposium on “Contemporary Approach in Surgical Orthodontic Management of Dentofacial Problems”
  organized by Pierre Fauchard Academy – Kurdistan Section of Iraq. Their presentations were well appreciated
  and well received by the orthodontists and oral surgeons of PFA of Iraq.
  

• Dr. S. Dilip, Professor, Dept of Orthodontics, gave a guest lecture on FRICTIONLESS SPACE CLOSURE- Vieux Jeu in Orthodontics in the program current concepts in retraction mechanics organized by Tagore Dental college and hospital on 5th December 2024.

  state Dental conference , held in Coonoor from 28th to 29th september 2024. She spoke on the recent trends
  in the” Management of skeletal malocclusions “.

• Dr. Sangeetha
  Duraisamy , professor *Department of Orthodontics , delivered a guest lecture in the CDE programme organised
  by Indian Dental Association , Vellore Branch. She spoke on the recent trends in the ” Management of Complex
  malocclusions in day today practice “.

• Professors, Dr.

  Dental College, Ramapuram presented guest lectures at the 56th Indian Orthodontic Conference held at Pune
  from16-18th september, 2022. All the lectures were well received and appreciated by the chairpersons and

• Dr. S. Dilip,
  Professor, Convenor of the Madras Orthodontic Study Group organised a National Level “JK Memorial” Online
  Quiz competition for orthodontic pg students on 23rg August 2022. He was also the Quizmaster of the
  event.
• It was a resounding success where as many as 200 teams from 79 colleges from J&K to Kanniyakumari
  participated. This made it the biggest single day event in the calendar year of Indian Orthodontic Society.For
  the first time, cash prizes worth Rupees 30,000 were awarded to the winners along with medals and certificates.

  Aadhirai Gopinath, Dr. Anuradha, Dr.Janani Ravi And Dr.Rasiga G were organizing members in the Quiz
  competition.

• Dr Sangeetha Duraisamy (Professor), Dr Janani R (Senior Lecturer) and Dr Hasini G (Senior Lecturer) from the Dept. of Orthodontics conducted the dental quiz for students in the 75th Indian Dental Conference held at the Chennai Trade centre, Nandambakkam, Chennai on 7th-9th February, 2025.
  
• Dr. Dilip S received the Certificate of Recognition at the “National Integrated Orthodontic Skill Workshop 2025” for delivering a guest lecture at such a prestigious event organized by the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Vinayaka Mission’s Shankaracharya Dental College. This honor reflects his expertise and significant contribution to the field of orthodontics.
  
• Dr. Sangeetha Duraisamy, Professor, Department of Orthodontics, was part of the Pre-Conference Workshop – a Clinical Case-Based Debate on the topic “SFOA vs Skeletal Anchorage in Complex Cases” during the IOS Zonal PG Convention 2025 (South Zone), held at SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital on 23rd May 2025. The session was moderated by Dr. Vignesh Kailasam and Dr. A.V. Arun, and featured distinguished faculty who presented and debated on two advanced anchorage strategies in orthodontics. The workshop offered an insightful comparison of treatment approaches in managing complex orthodontic cases, aiming to enhance postgraduate learning and clinical decision-making through evidence-based discussions.
  
• Dr. Shreya Kishore was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for her role as Course Faculty in the Hands-on T-loop Fabrication pre-convention course, conducted as part of the IOS Zonal PG Convention 2025 (South Zone). The event was organized by the Indian Orthodontic Society in association with the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital, Chennai, on 23rd May 2025.
  

• 58th Indian Orthodontic Conference was held from 20th to 22nd September in Bangalore. Our faculty from the
  Department of Orthodontics played a vital role in the conference.

• Dr. Sangeetha Duraisamy, Professor, was invited as a course faculty for the Pre-Conference course held on 18th September. The Hands-on Workshop, ” Infra zygomatic crest and Buccal shelf implants for Orthodontic Anchorage ” was attended by 81 registered participants, including senior practitioners, faculty members of various dental colleges and postgraduate students from all over the country. The workshop included lectures and Hands on training in placement of implants in patients. She was also the judge for the competitive clinical paper presentation by the delegates.
