Theme: Oral Health for Overall Health

Location: Seminar Hall, First Floor, SRM dental College, Ramapuram.
Overview: In commemoration of World Oral Health Day and to promote a month-long celebration of Oral Hygiene Awareness, our programme was held with the theme “Oral Health for Overall Health.” The event successfully attracted the enthusiastic participation of approximately 96 delegates.
Inauguration: The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Dr. Muthukumar, Head of the Department of Prosthodontics. His presence added great significance to the event, reflecting our commitment to advancing oral health knowledge.
Key Lecture: The highlight of the event was a lecture titled “Mitigating Ambiguities in Current Classification for Diagnosis of Periodontal Diseases.” The lecture provided an in-depth analysis of the nuances presented in the 2017 classification system for periodontal diseases. Participants found the session to be immensely beneficial as it clarified existing ambiguities and offered insights into effective diagnostic strategies.
Outcome: Feedback from attendees indicated that the lecture was exceptional, enhancing their understanding of the complexities involved in periodontal disease classification. Participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage with current research and best practices, reinforcing the connection between oral health and overall well-being.
Conclusion: The programme fulfilled its objective of raising awareness about oral health as an integral aspect of general health. We are grateful for the tremendous support from all participants and speakers, and we look forward to continuing our efforts in promoting oral hygiene awareness throughout the month and beyond.
