The workshop was led by renowned experts from King’s College London, supported by faculty members from the Department of Prosthodontics at SRM Dental College. 32 enthusiastic Post Graduate students from the Department of Prosthodontics were selected to participate. 4 patients who had undergone enucleation were carefully selected for the workshop.

Day 1 and 2: Didactic sessions covering ocular anatomy, impression techniques, iris positioning, painting, and acrylic processing.

Days 3 and 4: Live patient sessions began. Under the direct supervision of international faculty, students performed procedures including socket impression making, wax sculpting, iris matching, and characterization on the assigned patients.

Day 5: Involved the final fitting, contouring, and polishing of the prostheses. The session culminated in the delivery of the finished ocular prostheses to the four patients.

The 5-Day Live Hands-On Ocular Prosthesis Workshop was a testament to SRM Dental College’s commitment to providing world-class education and patient care.
