The Department of Prosthodontics conducted the first ever undergraduate student convention at SRM Dental College, Ramapuram on February 15th 2020. The response was very positive and a humongous turnout of 383 registrations from 15 dental colleges across the state was recorded. Various scientific activities such as E-poster, Art from dental materials, Wax up and carving, Tooth preparation, Extempore and a Grand quiz was conducted for both pre-clinical and clinical students in two different categories. The students appeared in different rounds of competition to be crowned as ‘Prostho star 2020’. The winners were selected one from preclinical and the other from clinical category and awarded a cash prize of Rs.10,000/- each along with the a winner medal and a trophy. The runners were given a cash prize of Rs.5,000/- each along with a medal and trophy. The first three prizes of each scientific session was awarded with a cash prize of Rs.2,000/- , Rs.1,000/- and Rs.500/- respectively, totally Rs.65,000/- as cash prizes.
