The Department of anatomy in SRM Dental College, Ramapuram campus was established in the year 1996-1997. The department has well qualified and experienced faculty members Department of anatomy deals with imparting knowledge on Human Anatomy, Human Embryology, Histology, Osteology to Ist year BDS students and Ist year MDS students. The department has a Human Cadaver dissection Hall, Histology laboratory, Museum and Faculty rooms.

Compound microscopes, micro-slides of various tissues of the body are used to teach histology wherein articulated Human skeletons, disarticulated Human bones are used for teaching osteology.
