International day for disabled persons camp was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry, SRM Dental College, Ramapuram along with Thavamozhi Foundations, keelkattalai on 03/12/2022, Saturday . We shed some light on oral hygiene, maintenance of oral health and it’s significance among 20 people residing in the home. Awareness about intake of nutritious food for maintenance of good oral hygiene was given. Oral screening was done for all the participants in the home. Brushing technique was explained to all the participants and the participants also practiced the brushing technique on the tooth model individually. Oral hygiene instructions were given to all the participants. We clarified all the doubts raised by the participants. We also provided them with a Personal hygiene kit containing toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, comb and coconut oil.A fun puzzle game was then conducted among the participants in groups inspiring them to maintain their oral hygiene.We would like to thank our Honourable Chairman Sir and Respected Dean Sir, SRM Dental College, Ramapuram for supporting this social initiative.
