BRIEF REPORT:
A webinar series named “Webinar Series by SRM Alumni ” was conducted on27.01.2021 and 29.01.2021 by the Dept of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, SRM Dental College, Ramapuram. The speakers were the fruits of our own department, the alumni’s. On day one (27.01.2021) Dr. Vandana James gave a keynote on Cleaning and Shaping “Gliding” through its Nuances, Dentin Biomodification was taken by Dr. Ishwarya G, followed by Composite Restorations Simplified by Dr.Palmoor Santosh. On day two (29.01.2021), the first lecture was taken by Dr.Arun on Regenerative endodontics and Biological materials for Pulp Vitality by Dr.Manish Khazane, followed by Structure Bound Guide Access Cavity by Dr.C.Charanya. The participants were from State and National level. A total of 88 participants made the webinar a grant success.
RESOURCE PERSON DETAILS
- Vandana James
Dr. Vandana is associated to Tagore Dental College and Hospital as an associate professor. She is a Co-founder of Kings Dental Care and IEE (Institute of Endodontic Excellence). An ardent practitioner and an avid teacher, she has 25 indexed publications and a patency on “Angelorotor” to her credit. She is an excellent orator.
2. Dr. Ishwarya G.
Dr. Ishwarya is an eminent endodontist who has versatile and indent knowledge in clinical and theoretical facts. She has been awarded as the best outgoing student in Under graduation and was awarded the gold medal in post-graduation. She has achieved best papers at various conferences and has many publications to her credit. Emerging star award in 2017 y CEAT and Young achiever award in 2019 by IACDE are added feathers to her laurels.
3. Dr. C. Charanya
Dr. Charanya is an eminent clinician and a passionate academician. She is currently working as a senior lecturer in Tagore Dental College and Hospitals. She is inclined towards research and has a good number of publications to her credit in indexed journals. She is also a peer reviewer in few indexed journals. She has also presented various papers in national and international dental conferences.
4. Dr. Arun
Dr. Arun is working as an associate professor in Vinayaka Mission Dental College. He is a well renowned guest speaker who has given talks at various state and national forums. He has various publications and is a reviewer in various journals. He is a CDE Convener for IDA Salem Branch from 2017. He has keen interest towards academics.
5. Dr. Manish Khazane
Dr. Manish is a young clinician who believes in honing skills with each challenge that comes his way. He has been awarded IFEA Jean- Marie Laurichese Research Award (2019) Research Grant apart from winning various awards in State and Nationals Conferences. He is also the founder of Dentenova- spreading smiles, a NGO (Since 2012) and represented India in Macedonia, Europe as a part of travel grant.
6. Dr. Palmoor Santosh
Dr. Santosh is a young talented Endo aspirant, who has been inculcating his vast knowledge in the wide ocean of clinical research. He is at present a full time PhD scholar at SRM Dental College, Ramapuram and a renowned Endodontic consultant. He has been awarded the Young Talent award by CEAT 2018, Research grant award 2019 by IACDE. He has numerous publications under his credit and is a passionate researcher.
